My journey Journey of Learning Communication previous part,Time changed rapidly and everything suddenly became messed up. The COVID pandemic started again and the whole world seemed to stop. Offices were closed, opportunities disappeared, and all the doors that once looked open slowly shut down. Once again, I packed my things and moved back to my village. It was a very painful moment in my life because everything happened so suddenly.
At that time, I was unemployed. The biggest reason was not a lack of knowledge, but my poor communication skills and lack of proper practice. I had technical knowledge, but I was unable to express my thoughts clearly during interviews. Because of that, I kept missing opportunities.
My Journey Through the Pandemic: From Struggle to Self-Improvement
During those days, I could see something in my parents’ eyes that I never wanted to see — worry and disappointment. They did not say anything directly, but I could feel their concern. That feeling hurt me deeply. However, instead of giving up, I decided that I must improve myself.
Even during the pandemic, I kept trying my best. I started writing small articles just to improve my communication. At first, they were very simple posts. I wrote them mainly to practice expressing my thoughts in English. Every day I tried to write something new.
Slowly I began to change. I started correcting my mistakes and learning from them. At that time, one of my friends used to read my posts. Instead of helping me improve, he often scolded me and said that my posts were not good enough. Rather than correcting my mistakes, he insulted my writing. Those words hurt me a lot. I felt very bad and eventually decided to leave that environment.
But sometimes painful moments push us toward growth. After that incident, I did not stop. Instead, I started reading more books and novels. I also read small moral stories and tried to rewrite them in my own words. I practiced writing again and again.
Day after day, I continued this habit. While doing this, I discovered many mistakes in my writing. I corrected them slowly. Over time, I became a little more confident and comfortable with English than before.
Then an idea came to my mind. I decided to start my own blog. I began working on it seriously. I spent time learning how blogs work, how to structure posts, and how to present ideas clearly. I continued writing regularly and improving my content.
At that moment, a new journey had started in my life.
After a few days of effort, my blog was finally ready. When I saw my blog for the first time, I felt very happy. It was written in my own English, with my own experiences and thoughts. It was not perfect, but it was mine.
For the first time, I felt that maybe I could clear interviews easily if I got the opportunity.
But unfortunately, there were still very few job notifications at that time because the pandemic had affected many companies.
Even then, I did not stop. I continued working on my blog for almost one year. Writing regularly helped me improve my communication, confidence, and clarity of thought.
Slowly, the pandemic situation started improving. Life began returning to normal. Businesses reopened, companies started hiring again, and opportunities slowly came back.
When things improved, I once again moved to the city and started my job search. But this time, something had changed inside me. I had gained confidence. In fact, I had gained confidence twice through practice and through persistence. I realized that self-effort is one of the most powerful tools in life.
Sometimes people may help us, and sometimes they may not. But we must continue our journey regardless of whether support is available or not.
Opportunities come in their own time. I started attending many interviews. Some interviews were difficult, some went well, and some did not work out. But I did not see them as failures anymore.
Instead, I treated every interview as practice. Every interview gave me a new experience. Every interviewer asked different questions. Every situation taught me something new.
Slowly, I started understanding how interviews work, how to communicate clearly, and how to present my knowledge with confidence.
And most importantly, I learned that improvement is a continuous process.
My journey is still not complete.
There are many more lessons, struggles, and achievements waiting ahead.
